WE HAVE A NEW NAME

Last Saturday we decided on a name for our ministry.  This gives us a little more credibilty in the community.  From now on we will be known as Matthew 25:40 Ministry.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Let's start getting our voluteers lined up.  We will need to meet with them soon and start putting together the teams and re-assessing the homes in order to made a materials list.

Billy and I have gone over the assessments.  There are several projects we will not be able to do, these are structural problems and we do not have the time, funding or expertise to work on these.  However, I have counted seventeen homes that we can work on depending on how many volunteers we end up with.  We will need to have another meeting in September to go over the assessments.

PRAYER WARRIORS

We need to be praying for this minstry several times a day, everyday.  Please have your church family be in constant prayer for us. 

My husband and I visited with Jerome Williams in Fort Deposit on Saturday to assess his home.  Mr. Williams lives in a small mobile home.  Its looks as though he is living in two rooms.  His main needs are water to his home and clothes, shoes (slip ons), socks, underwear and whatever we can get for him.  He also expressed a need for a heater.  His pipes have been broken, probably since last winter.  Mr. Williams could probably use some blankets too.  He is confined to a wheelchair and his chair is not the best.  Mr. Williams needs a covered front porch.  His porch and steps are on blocks and very dangerous for anyone that has to carry him down those steps.  We will need to talk about this at our next meeting.
